How to connect LinkedIn to AnyBiz.io?

This article will help you connect your LinkedIn account to Anybiz.io. You will need to install an additional extension for Google Chrome.

Preparation:

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • Access to your AnyBiz.io account.
  • A LinkedIn account.

Instructions for Installing the Chrome Extension

  1. Log into AnyBiz.io
    Open Google Chrome and go to AnyBiz.io. Log into your account.

  2. Find the "Install Extension" Button
    Go to the "Settings" section, then "Connect to LinkedIn," and click on the "Install Extension" button to download the extension file.

  3. Download the Extension File
    After clicking the download button, the extension file will be available for download to your computer. Save it in a location that is convenient for you.

  4. Open the Extensions Menu in Google Chrome
    In the upper right corner of the browser, click on the three vertical dots (menu), select  "Extensions" and then "Manage Extensions".

Enable Developer Mode
In the upper right corner of the extensions page, toggle on "Developer mode."

Install the Extension from the File

    • Drag and Drop the Extension File: Find the downloaded extension file (in .crx or .zip format) and drag it onto the extensions page in Chrome.
    • Alternative Option: If the file is in .zip format, unzip it,  click  "Load unpacked" and select the folder containing the extension files.

  • Important Step When Unziping the Extension File:

    When unzipping the .zip file, there may be a situation where a folder is created with another folder inside it containing the extension files. In this case, you need to drag the inner folder onto the Chrome extensions manager to properly install the extension.

     

      COMMON ISSUE: INCORRECT FOLDER SELECTION

    One of the most frequent causes of this error is an issue with unpacking and selecting the correct directory when adding the extension to Google Chrome.

    To fix this:

        • Ensure you unpack (unzip) the archive fully.
        • Select the furthest directory labeled as anybiz-extension-t-1-3 (or anybiz-extension-1-3).
        • Make sure you are selecting only one folder, avoiding a "folder within a folder" situation.


     

    Next steps in the setup

      1. Check the Installation
        After installing the extension, you should see it in the list of extensions in Chrome. If everything goes successfully, the extension icon will appear in the upper right corner of the browser.

      2. Open a New Tab
        Open a new tab in Google Chrome and log into your LinkedIn account. Do not close this window!

      3. Connect Your LinkedIn Account
        Once you navigate to your LinkedIn profile, the extension will detect it. To finalize the connection of your LinkedIn profile, go back to your AnyBiz account in another tab and press the "Connect" button next to your profile on the AnyBiz page.

      FOR THE EXTENSION TO WORK, YOUR LINKEDIN SESSION MUST BE ACTIVE. JUST OPEN LINKEDIN ONCE A DAY AND STAY LOGGED IN TO KEEP YOUR SESSION ACTIVE.
