# How to Connect Cal.com to Anybiz Account

## Overview

You can connect your Cal.com account to Anybiz in about two minutes by generating a Cal.com API key and pasting it into Anybiz. Once connected, Anybiz would be able to automatically book appointments, check your availability and negotiate about scheduling calls on your behalf.

The connection uses a non-expiring API key, so you only need to set it up once. It stays active until you delete the key in Cal.com or disconnect it from Anybiz.

### Before you begin

Make sure you have the following:

- An active Cal.com account (cloud at app.cal.com, or a self-hosted instance).
- Permission to create API keys in that account. On team or organization plans, an admin may need to do this.
- An \[App Name\] account where you can access **Settings → Integrations**.

### Step 1: Generate a non-expiring API key in Cal.com

1. Sign in to your Cal.com account.
2. Click your profile picture and open **Settings**.
3. In the left menu, under **Developer**, select **API Keys**.
4. Click **New** (or **Add**) to create a key.
5. In the name or note field, enter something recognizable, such as `Anybiz integration`.
6. Turn on **Never expires**. This is required: a key with an expiry date will stop working and break the connection.
7. Click **Save**.
8. Copy the key that appears. It usually starts with `cal_live_`.

**Important:** Cal.com shows the full key only once. If you close the window before copying it, delete that key and create a new one.

### Step 2: Add the API key to Anybiz

1. Sign in to Anybiz.
2. Go to **Settings → Integrations**.
3. Find **Cal.com** and click **Connect**.
4. Paste your API key into the **API key** field. Check that there are no extra spaces before or after it.
5. Click **Connect**.
6. Select an Event that Anybiz would use

Anybiz stores your key encrypted and uses it only to communicate with Cal.com on your behalf.

### Troubleshooting

| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| "Invalid API key" when saving | Key was copied incompletely or with extra spaces | Copy the full key again, or generate a new one |
| Connection worked, then stopped | Key was deleted in Cal.com, or it was created with an expiry date | Generate a new key with **Never expires** turned on and reconnect |
| Connected, but no bookings appear | The key belongs to a different Cal.com account than the one holding your events | Sign in to the correct Cal.com account and create the key there |
| Can't find **API Keys** in Cal.com settings | Your role on a team or organization plan doesn't allow it | Ask your Cal.com admin to create the key or grant access |
| Lost the key after creating it | Cal.com shows keys only once | Delete the old key and create a new one |

Still stuck? Contact Anybiz support with a description of the error and a screenshot of the integration page. Never include the API key itself.

FAQ

**Do I need to renew the key?** No. A key created with **Never expires** stays valid until you delete it.

**Can I use a key that has an expiry date?** It will work until that date, then the connection will break. We recommend a non-expiring key to avoid interruptions.

**Does this work with self-hosted Cal.com?** Yes, as long as your instance's API is reachable. Generate the key on your own instance the same way.

**What can Anybiz do with my key?** Only what's needed for the integration: reading and managing your bookings, event types and availability. Anybiz does not change your Cal.com account settings.

**Can I connect more than one Cal.com account?** Each Anybiz account connects to one Cal.com account at a time. To switch, replace the key with one from the other account.
