# How to Edit an Existing Persona

## When working with personas on our platform, it’s important to understand how the system is designed for optimal performance.

###   Editing Personas Is Not Supported

Unfortunately, editing an existing persona is not possible. If you need to make changes, you’ll have to **delete the current persona** and **create a new one** with the updated information.

###  Why Is This the Case?

As soon as you create a persona, our algorithm starts planning outreach actions, including email timing, targeting, and LinkedIn steps. This process is **tightly connected to the initial setup of the persona**.

If we allowed edits, it would disrupt the planning logic, confuse the system, and ultimately hurt performance, deliverability, and accuracy.

###  What Should You Do?

If you need to:

Just **create a new persona** with the correct details. It’s quick, and it ensures the system works as intended.
