Zapier “Pull” vs. “Push” Triggers: Timing & Behavior
How Zapier handles data synchronization (“pull” vs. “push” triggers), and what timing you can expect when using different types of triggers.
Does Zapier Pull Data Immediately?
When pulling leads from HubSpot or other CRMs, users often wonder if Zapier updates instantly or if there’s a delay. The answer depends on the type of trigger you’ve selected in Zapier.
Types of Triggers in Zapier
Zapier supports two main trigger types:
Trigger Type | Description | Timing |
---|---|---|
Instant Trigger | Fires as soon as the event occurs. | Immediately |
Polling Trigger | Zapier checks for new data at set intervals. | Every 5–15 minutes* |
* Interval depends on your Zapier subscription plan.
